Reports are surfacing that the Chicago police have found the body of Jennifer Hudson's missing 7-year-old nephew.
While police have not officially confirmed it's the body of the Academy Award-winning actress' relative, the Associated Press is reporting that the body was found in the vehicle that belonged to Hudson's brother.
The white SUV that the young Black boy was found in is listed in the Amber Alert for Hudson's nephew Julian King. Police have refused to comment whether or not the boy is King.
The finding comes just after Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson and brother Jason Hudson were found shot to death in their Chicago home. King is the son of Hudson's sister Julia Hudson who made a plea to the nation for the safe return of her son.
Hudson herself offered a $100,000 reward for the unharmed return of King.
One suspect has already been taken into custody in connection with the double murders. Julia's estranged husband William Balfour. While not charged for the murders of Donerson and Jason Hudson he is being questioned for the killings. Balfour has a history of trouble with the law previously serving seven years for attempted murder and other charges. He is currently on parole.
On her MySpace page blog Hudson said in a statement, "Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time."
Hudson is best known for her performance in 2006 as Effie White in the movie "Dreamgirls" which won her a Golden Globe and an Academy Award. She recently released her first album earlier this month. She is starring alongside Queen Latifah and Alicia Keys in the movie "The Secret Life of Bees" currently in theaters.
