After 12 years of showing at the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, Custo Barcelona presented his spring 2010 collection in the largest tent for the first time.

This big tent seats 1,000-plus members of the press, opinion leaders, celebrities and VIPs. His clothes are smartly styled, very wearable and chic. It was a very impressive presentation.

Named "Air Show," Custo Barcelona's collection was built around the concepts of movement and lightness. He used materials that were so light, in describing them, the designer talked about yarns instead of fabrics. Most of his fabrics have been through a perforation process that provides a certain transparency to his materials and clothes. Behind Custo Barcelona's collection, there was an intense investigation that focused on the fabric's quality and the designer's use of graphic and color. This technique is the company's brand DNA, and it has been renewed in an unexpected way.

The fine results of this experimenting will be delivered to the stores through Custo Barcelona's new line, Lowxury. This line includes pieces that are directly taken from the daring ideas on the catwalk, so any women in the world will be able to enjoy these fabulous clothes and use them in their everyday lives.

Many celebrities attended this standing-room-only show, sharing this fantastic moment with designer Custo Dalmau. Among them were actor Kenan Thompson from "Saturday Night Live"; Bryan Greenberg; actor Mark Indelicato from "Ugly Betty"; supermodel Monique Stateena of "America's Nest Top Model," Cycle 11; Miss Jay from "America's Next Top Model"; Kristen Dalton, Miss USA; Stephania Fernandez, Miss Universe; actor Federico Castelluccio from "The Sopranos"; singer Amerie; Melody Thornton from the The Pussycat Dolls; and Miss Teen USA, Stormy Bree Henley.
