The Radio City Christmas show is one of my family's favorite ways to usher in the holiday season. The Christmas music, the Rockettes, Santa Claus, and the majesty of Radio City are something so marvelous to experience. First you have a wonderful time listening to the live music, then you put on the 3-D glasses and get to watch as Santa comes to Radio City Musical Hall on his sleigh.
This show is about tradition and it showcases a tradition that people have loved and enjoyed for 75 years and will go on enjoying. Of course, the show includes favorites like "The Nutcracker," the dance of the rag dolls in Santa's Workshop, the Parade of the Marching Soldiers, and the Rockettes on a sightseeing bus viewing the beauty of New York City during the holidays. There's also the dancing Santas, who really get the show ringing with excitement and delight. The Radio City Christmas show demonstrates the wonder and beauty of the holiday season, while also delving into the reason for the season as it revisits the gloriousness
of the Nativity.
This show is something that the entire family can share. It really is a wonderful production. And when you look at the faces of the Rockettes, you'll see quite a few of us mixed in. And that is also a beautiful thing.
