Empire City Moles' hosts annual Christmas luncheon

The Empire City Moles celebrated the holidays at the exclusive Davenport Country Club in New Rochelle, N.Y., with over 100 guests dining and dancing on the Long Island Sound.

The annual affair was an afternoon with spirited holiday ambiance filling the room.

Cynthia J. Gresham was recently elected to the position of national parliamentarian at the 61st National Conclave in Hampton, Va. She is the first in her chapter to hold a national office.

Also honored was Margaret Wesley, who has served her chapter for three decades. Past Presidents Stacey Bell and Emalena Davis North were on hand to make the presentation with members Cydni Carew, Lisa Ray Clarkson, Edith Davenport, Gloria Dixon, Billie Holliday, Rhonda McClean Nur, Cecelia Newkirk, Tanya Odom, Jacqueline Smith, Margaret Wesley and Terri Wisdom.

The chapter is the 21st established in a sisterhood of 30 chapters nationwide. The Empire City Moles have hosted two national conventions-one at the Waldorf Astoria-and three board of directors luncheons.

Dr. Carolyn Rudd Johnson of Washington, D.C., is the national president.
