Healthfirst celebrates opening of new corporate headquarters

Healthfirst, a not-for-profit managed care organization offering low or no-cost health insurance to individuals and families living in the New York metropolitan area and New Jersey, celebrated the opening of its new corporate headquarters at 100 Church St. in Lower Manhattan with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for staff, health facilities representatives and political leaders from across New York City.
This special ceremony marked the consolidation of the organization's two New York-based corporate offices-at 25 Broadway and 123 William St.-into one central location. Healthfirst's new headquarters occupies 172,000 square feet over four floors, joined by a dramatic interior glass staircase. The space is designed with an open floor plan featuring low partition heights to let in natural sunlight and foster employee collaboration.
The new offices have also earned a certified gold rating from the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design green building rating system, developed and administered by the U.S. Green Building Council.
"The transition to our new corporate headquarters marks a milestone for Healthfirst as we begin a new era in this modernized space after a three-year-long search," said Pat Wang, Healthfirst president and CEO.
