125th Street lights up this holiday season

The 125th Street Business Improvement District, Community Boards, 9, 10,11 and the New York Housing Authority will come together to brighten the 125th Street, on Monday, November 21st at 5:30pm.

The ceremony, entitled "Joyous Sounds and Lights," will begin at the Adam Clayton Powell Jr. State Office Building, and will including music, treats, and other entertainment. Mama, I Want to Sing writer and producer Vy Higginsen will be providing some of the entertainment, along with the Harlem Arts Alliance.

Video Music Box's Ralph McDaniels will also be in attendance, as well as NY1 News journalist Cheryl Willis, who will lead the countdown to the lighting of the 125th Street, from East to West.

Harlem Park to Park will launch their Annual Coat and Toy Drive. Businesses participating in the event include Red Rooster Restaurant, Tonnie's Mini's, and Starbucks.
