A judge has given Doctor Conrad Murray the maximum sentence, of four years in prison, for his conviction in the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. However, a new law in California, will actually prevent Murray from serving time in prison. Instead, he'll end up staying in the Los Angeles County Jail for at most only two years of his sentence. Judge Michael Pastor also ruled that Conrad must pay an $800 fine. Says Reverend Al Sharpton: "The sentencing of Dr. Conrad Murray to four years in prison by no means ends the injustice suffered by Michael Jackson nor does it in any way mitigate the fact that his children have lost a father and the Jacksons have lost a son for the rest of their life. While I approve that the Judge gave the highest sentence permitted by law and that he used hard language in condemning Dr. Murray's recklessness, the sentence is light compared to the damage Dr. Murray and those that may have participated (and went unpunished) have received in relation to the damages they have done."
Usher was headed back to court on Nov. 30 to battle his ex-wife Tameka Foster. Sources claim that Foster is angry about Usher closing her Saks Fifth Avenue charge account, so she's seeking to gain full custody of the couple's two sons, Usher V, 3, and Navyid, 2. Foster wants full custody and says that Usher's income has increased significantly since their divorce. She's asking the court to grant her more child support "because of his success." She also says Usher promised to pay $5,000 per month so she could have her own nanny for the kids, but he hasn't paid in months and now owes $34,000 worth of payments.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, friends of Eva Longoria say there may be something going on between the actress and Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes despite all the "we're just working on a charity event together" chatter by both the actress and the pro hoopster. Meanwhile, actress Penelope Cruz is reportedly a bit irked that Longoria may be two-timing her brother Eduardo, whom Cruz fixed up with the "Desperate Housewives" star in the first place.
