The Harlem Soul-Line Dance Party

The Harlem Soul-Line Dance Party celebrated its fifth anniversary at the Harlem State Office Building. Founder Peggy Ruffin said, "I created this organization to promote good physical health, memory retention and social skills, and I'm not disappointed."
Harlem Soul-Line kicked off its celebration by showcasing Philadelphia's "Empress of the Line Dance," Bernadette Burnett. Other line dance royalty included Tiffany Drinks and Monica Smith from Atlantic City and "Happy Feet" Soul-Line Dance producer Tee Hunter. A good time was had by all!
Notable guests included Sandra Hawkins, Harlem's line dance king and queen, Gene Watts and Mae Padmor, and Maurice Cummings, representative for New York State Assemblyman Keith L.T. Wright.
