NYC Comptroller Campaign Treasurer is charged with Fraud

John Liu, NYC Comptroller encountered yet another difficult situation for his fundraising scandal. Liu campaign treasurer Jia "Jenny" Hou has been arrested and charged with Fraud on Tuesday.
"Accused of willfully participating in a campaigning scheme involving "straw donors" in order to make illegal contributions above the $4,950 limit authorized by the New York City Campaign Finance Board," According to the Huffington Post.
As the city's chief financial officer he is titled as the top ranking financial official. Liu supervise a $120 billion pension fund and a $66 billion pension fund.
"At a news conference in Brooklyn, Mayor Michael Bloomberg declined to discuss the charges against Hou or the political impact on the comptroller", according to the New York Times. For the first time the F.B.I agents arrested an affiliate of Liu's campaign team.
John Liu is the first Asian American to hold citywide elective office.
