Here is a little information on Nick Gordon, Whitney Houston's adopted son, who has gotten kissy poo with her daughter, Bobbi Kristina, following the pop star's death. A source who was on the set of "Sparkle" when Houston was in Detroit for two months last fall filming told the Chicago Sun-Times: "Whitney stayed at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel, and after filming, she would eat at the 24 Grille in the hotel. She was often accompanied by the young man, Nick Gordon, and referred to him as her son.
"She was very affectionate with him and on one occasion he called her 'mom.' She most always had a lemon meringue martini and a cheeseburger."
It is also being reported that the producers are now rushing to get "Sparkle" in the theaters by May instead of the original proposed month of August.
Talk about a woman in love. At the March 13 Old Spice Scent event at Highline Stages in New York City, all Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen could talk about was her fiance, John Legend. She told me: "He's down the street recording." The face of Gillette Venus & Olay Razor, Teigen said she was at the launch of the new scents Champion and Danger to support Old Spice because it is the brother line to Venus. She went on to say: "John is aware of the product. He likes it a lot." Teigen was joined by Old Spice men Isaiah Mustafa and Terry Crews and New York Giants Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz.
Not only do New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco and VH1 "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada have a new reality show about their upcoming nuptials called "Eva and Ocho," the engaged couple have set an actual wedding date. While buying dinner for 200 fans at Sylvia's Restaurant in Harlem on March 12, Ochocinco let it slip that he and Lozada are getting married July 4 in Miami.
On Friday, March 16, VH1 Soul aired the world premiere of Lil' Mo's video "I Love Me." Lil' Mo's new single and album, "P.S. I Love Me," tackles issues of domestic violence and empowerment of women. "I'm looking forward to the premiere," said Lil' Mo. "My album is about empowering women in every area of their lives. Everyone will enjoy the video." The popular R&B singer is currently on a multicity promotional tour in support of her new album, appearing on network affiliate morning shows, visiting radio stations and performing at special events in all markets.
It took nearly four years and a lifetime of patience, but "Life, Love, Soul"--the coming-of-age drama that walked away with the Audience Award at last year's Urbanworld Film Festival--will open in seven cities on April 13. The movie will have a New York City premiere on March 29. In addition, select theaters in Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles, New Jersey and Washington, D.C., will show the full-length feature from first-time writer-director Noel Calloway along with music industry veteran-turned-movie producer Dedra N. Tate, executive producers Allen West and Benny Pugh and associate producer and reality TV star Yandy Smith. The cast of "Life, Love, Soul" includes Robbie Tate-Brickle, VH1's "Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman, Jamie Hector, Terri J. Vaughn and Valerie Simpson.
