Vera Wang's spring 2013 collection is beautifully designed, with pretty lace and lots of feminine shapes. To build her business, she created a unique aspirational world that alludes to sensuality and youthful sophistication. Her exquisite details, intricate draping and a nonchalant sense of style characterize the Vera Wang aesthetic.
As a native New Yorker, Wang understands women who embrace fashion. By age 23, Wang was the youngest-ever Vogue fashion editor and stylist, and she remained there for 16 years before moving to Ralph Lauren as a design director. In 1990, Wang opened her flagship store on Manhattan's famed Madison Avenue. She introduced fashion to the bridal industry with revolutionary designs and refined detailing. Since then, she has expanded her collection to include ready-to-wear, footwear, eyewear, fragrances, flowers, china and crystal, silver and gifts, bedding, fine papers, and her first book, "Vera Wang on Weddings."
As a natural extension of Wang's passion for designing bridal fashion, Vera Wang partnered with Zales Corp. to introduce Vera Wang Love, a collection of diamond engagement rings, wedding bands and solitaire jewelry, available exclusively in Zales stores throughout the U.S. This well-known designer has received the 2005 Women's Wear Designer of the Year award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. She further established her brand as a style authority in 2007 for sharing her sensibility with millions of Americans through her Simply Vera Wang line available in Kohl's department stores throughout the U.S.
In spring 2011, Wang launched her highly anticipated collection for David's Bridals, White by Vera Wang. For spring 2012, she designed an exclusive collection of rental tuxedos for Men's Warehouse.
