New Denzel flick to hit theaters

Rapper Nelly threw his girlfriend Ashanti a surprise party to celebrate the R&B songstress's 32nd birthday at Reign Nightclub in Atlanta on Oct. 13. Her guests included T.I. and Tiny, her parents and her sister.
Nelly looked carefree at the bash following drugs being found on his tour bus in Sierra Blanca, Texas, last week. However, things could get complicated for Nelly, as his associate Brian Keith Jones, who initially took responsibility for the massive amount of drugs, including 36 baggies of heroin and 10 pounds of marijuana, pleaded not guilty to felony drug charges when he appeared in court. Jones has since been released from jail.
Denzel Washington donned a blazer while attending the premiere of his upcoming flick "Flight" at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City on Oct. 14. The Oscar-winning actor, who plays an alcohol- and drug-addicted airplane pilot in the movie, was joined by his wife, Pauletta, and co-stars Don Cheadle and Tamara Tunie. "Flight" soars into theaters on Friday, Nov. 2.
Film and TV actress Lonette McKee, who portrayed Sister in the original "Sparkle," heads the cast of the play "Sowa's Red Gravy," presented at the New Federal Theater in association with Castillo Theater, 543 W. 42nd St. in Times Square. Written by Diane Richards, the show starts Oct. 18, with the opening night set for Sunday, Oct. 28. "Sowa's Red Gravy" runs through Nov. 18.
Supermodel Chrissy Teigen arrived at the Harvard Club in Midtown on Oct. 11 with her fiance, John Legend, to host the Resolution Project's annual Resolve 2012 Gala. Teigen turned heads in a floor-length silver gown, while Legend stepped aside and let his fiancee enjoy the spotlight.
Beyonce was spotted last week arriving at Elio's Restaurant on the Upper East Side to celebrate friend Gwyneth Paltrow's 40th birthday. Beyonce drove up in her $1 million customized black minivan. Meanwhile, the superstar songstress has been tapped to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans.
