Officer rumored to be indicted for fatal bronx teen shooting

Richard Haste, 30, the New York police offer who shot and killed the unarmed 18-year-old Ramarley Graham inside of his apartment is rumored to be indicted Wednesday for manslaughter 1 and 2.
Graham was chased into his home Feb. 2 for allegedly having marijuana. The chase began on White Plains Road and 228 Street after narcotics officers thought he had a gun. Once reaching his home on 229th Street, he ran to a second-floor bathroom where it's believed he was attempting to flush the drugs down the toilet before being shot in the chest.
Constance Malcolm, Graham's mother, told the Am News she will give comment regarding Haste's charges after the hearing begins.
Friends, family members and supporters will continue to hold weekly vigils Ramarley Graham every Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. It will begin in the front 749 East 229th Street in the Bronx. A march will follow within the neighborhood to the 47th precinct at 4111 Laconia Avenue.
