Hugely popular radio personality Bob Lee, also affectionately known as Dr. Bob Lee, just hosted the Make the Grade Foundation award ceremony. Lee is also the founder and board member of the Make the Grade Foundation (MTG). He is one of the most recognized radio personalities in the country. He and fellow radio vets Ann Tripp and Lenny Green congratulated awardees at the event.

MTG was founded by Lee to raise awareness about the challenges facing our youth today. MTG is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that facilitates and encourages academic achievement by implementing programs to tutor, mentor and motivate students, and providing incentives and funding. This is done through the collaboration the program facilitates among parents, teachers, students, clergy and the community by connecting and providing education and resources for today’s youth.

Proceeds from fundraising efforts go directly to benefit MTG.

The following programs enable MTG to benefit the community: Cool 2B Smart, Dial-A-Teacher, MTG Communications, the academic enrichment program, the college preparatory program, the mentoring/tutoring healthy eating program, the healthy living program, the college scholarship program and MTG Mobile.
