Are you ready to bring more pleasure, fun and greatness to your life? This is the question being posed by Kavita Patel, a person who specializes in going beneath the surface to uncover what really makes the world go 'round. She says, "I know a lot of [people] wish they were loving their career and having relationships that kick ass. They want to be debt-free, feel great in their body and leap out of bed each morning, ready to attack the day. But not everyone is experiencing this right now. There are a lot of [people] out there in crappy relationships or uncomfortably single, getting divorced, staying in jobs that are suffocating, frustrated with their kids, exhausted, bored and settling. I hope you know that I believe in a much bigger and more satisfying picture for your life, because when you are enjoying your life, you will attract all kinds of love." I can go for that.
Discussing this topic in-depth is the online feature, "Unlock Your Greatness Event: 15 Experts Teach You How to Rock Your Career, Relish Your Relationships and Relax in Your Home So You Can Stop Settling and Create a Life of Your Own Design." The event will take place from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1 online, and it's absolutely free. Just get comfy and tune into www.yourgreatnessunlocked.com. The caveat is that this discussion is led by women and it makes references to women, but I think the concepts can work just as well for men-- so guys, don't shy away.
If you can't get enough of this stuff, there is also the "Ditch Deprivation Event: 16 Experts Show You How to Stop Depriving & Start Thriving!" Here, the discussion focuses on developing the method and mindset for having more fun in life AND getting what you want. Kavita says, "These two things usually don't go together for most of us. We feel we have to give up something to gain something."
If you feel like you are always choosing between what you want and what you "should" do, you can grab your virtual seat at www.ditchdeprivationevent.com, Jan. 28 to Feb. 1. The event is free.
Remember last week, I told you how everybody who is anybody in New York has a power breakfast at the Regency and lunch at Michael's? Well, this week Jonelle Procope, CEO of the Apollo Theater Foundation, was seen having lunch with Star Jones at Michael's. Jones must have her very own table there by now. Also there (but not at Jones' table) having fun at the media ladies' luncheon were talk show personalities Hoda Kotb, (love her!), Kathie Lee Gifford, Peggy Siegal, Savannah Guthrie and Meredith Vieira celebrating the publication of Kotb's new book.
