The USTA (United States Tennis Association) will host its third annual U.S. Open job fair. And for the first time, there will be two job fairs, starting with an exclusive opportunity for residents of Queens, N.Y., on Friday, June 28 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Job-seekers should arrive early, as gates will close promptly at 3 p.m. The Queens job fair is open to all residents of Queens only, and proper ID is required for entry.
Job-seekers will have an opportunity to speak with U.S. Open staff and its vendors about the various open positions, such as cooks, drivers, maintenance workers, security personnel, cashiers and customer service representatives. Applications will be available on-site.
For those unable to attend the job fair, applications for available positions at the U.S. Open will be accepted through August. Additional information can be found online at www.teamusopentennis.com. Last year’s successful event brought out job-seekers from each of the city’s boroughs, as well as from many parts of the tristate area.
“Attending the U.S. Open is a unique experience as a spectator, but it can be even more exciting when you’re part of the team that puts on the greatest sporting event in the world,” said Danny Zausner, chief operating officer of the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. “We’re delighted to once again host the job fair, at which job seekers will get an opportunity to learn about and interview for some of the most sought-after positions at the Open. And we’re as equally excited to open this opportunity for one day to our neighbors out here in Queens.”
