Halle Berry steps out with new shoe line

Halle Berry has launched a new shoe line called 5th Avenue, Hello Beautiful reports. The Oscar-winning actress has partnered with German retailer Deichman Shoes on a line of casual, comfortable and subdued footwear that, she says, "can easily be worn by every woman. They are stylish yet reasonably priced, and that is what my collection's all about." A television commercial was released in Europe, along with the 40 limited edition styles. No word yet on when the styles will be available in the states.

Word is Chris Brown recently joined forces with graffiti artist Slick to create some original artwork that was auctioned online on March 15 in Gardena, Calif. The R&B crooner's artwork will help benefit A Place Called Home and Best Buddies International.

Karl Allen Griggs, a Detroit native currently residing in New York City, has made a name for himself in the world of corporate finance and brand development. After completing his MBA in finance, Griggs was recognized as a visionary and held multiple senior level management positions with global Fortune 500 companies.

At the young age of 27, Griggs was named vice president of finance, business development and analysis for a publicly held corporation, directing the development and global expansion of a retail brand and was registered with the Federal Trade Commission. Now 32, this amazing young man has achieved all of these high-powered accomplishments, despite being a victim of unimaginable abuse while coming of age. Griggs' memoir, "Shattered Mirrors: Broken in Plain Sight," which details all that he endured and how his grandmother's words of wisdom gave him the strength to triumph over all, will be coming to bookstores soon.

"Real Husbands of Hollywood" star Nick Cannon visited the VH1 Cafe during the South by Southwest conference on March 16 with a large entourage. Cannon must have missed his wife, Mariah Carey, because he ran straight to Built accessories and grabbed a black tote, proclaiming, "This would make a great purse." Before heading to rehearsal for his show later that night, the father of two sipped a few Disaronno cocktails and listened to his DJ set at the Monster DNA sound bar.

Wedding bells are in the air for Rashidah Ali. Among all the fussing and fighting during last week's taping of the "Love & Hip Hop New York," newest castmember Ali announced that she was getting hitched to her longtime business partner, who is a mystery man. On March 18, she went shopping for the wedding dress of her dreams at the Pronovias bridal shop in Manhattan.
