Attourney general takes on smartphone theft

The New York state attorney general asked cellphone companies to examine their security measures in an effort to combat the rampant theft of smartphones. Eric Schneiderman requested information on security protections to curb thefts of cellphones from big name companies at Apple, Samsung, Microsoft and Google. The spike in iPhone thefts even has a name, "Apple picking." New York City residents have faced a surge of cellphone thefts lately.
