Atlanta Housewife Khandi elopes with fiancé?

Rumors are floating that “Real Housewives of Atlantis” cast member Kandi Burruss and her fiancé, Todd Tucker, eloped to Cancun, Mexico, and are now husband and wife. According to blogger Tamara Tattles, an exclusive source who was staying at the El Dorado Rey Maya in the Mexican Resort getaway saw Burruss and Tucker, along with the small wedding setup, and put two and two together. Burruss and Tucker met on the set of “The Real Housewives,” where he was a cameraman. Sources say he has also worked behind the scenes at BET and “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta.” Congratulations.

Drake turned 27 on Oct. 24, and the night before his birthday, the rapper celebrated by sitting courtside at a Toronto Raptors preseason game. He is the embattled team’s ambassador. Following the game, Drake dressed to the nines in a suit and bow tie and headed to Club Complex. He ended the evening with an after-party and a large cake modeled after the city of Toronto.

Did Chris Brown dump Karrueche Tran? The off again-on again twosome have reportedly called it quits yet again. According to sources on VH1’s “Gossip Table,” Brown cancelled an appearance at Harrah’s Resort & Casino in Atlantic City because they broke up. Just prior to the split, the ex-couple was spotted out on Oct. 22 at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Night. Maybe something spooked them!

The 2013 BronzeLens Film Festival’s “Women Superstars Luncheon” will roll out the red carpet for industry insiders, celebrities and aspiring filmmakers on hand to honor some of the most accomplished women of color working in the film and television industry. A coveted signature event during the five-day festival, the luncheon will take place Friday, Nov. 8 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Hotel. Hosted by former television news anchor Monica Pearson, the 2013 BronzeLens superstars are Anna Maria Horsford, LaTanya Richardson (actress and wife of Samuel L. Jackson), Mahira Kakkar, Ingrid Saunders Jones, Issa Rae, Tonya Lewis Lee (producer and wife of Spike Lee), Valerie Benning Barney and costumers Mabel and Sheila Benning.

“12 Years a Slave” leads the pack of nominations for the 23rd annual Gotham Independent Film Awards. The Fox Searchlight release, which offers a searing look at slavery in the American South, claimed three nominations: Best Feature, Best Actor for Chiwetel Ejifor and Breakthrough Actor for Lupita Nyong’o. The Gotham Awards ceremony, which will be held Dec. 2 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, will also pay tribute to actor Forest Whitaker and Katherine Oliver, who heads up the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment
