Happy Halloween, Harlem ghouls, ghosts, gents and gems. Are you going to haunt the streets tonight looking for unsuspecting prey to pounce upon and demand treats in exchange for your mercy from your bag of tricks?! Relax, it’s just candy. You can buy a bar, a pop or a whole bag of it for next to nothing at a local store. But that’s not the point, right? Just saying, keep it in good spirit.

I am sure you have your plans for tonight already, but just in case wandering the apartment building or your street or the avenue isn’t enough, I have a couple of events for kids young and old:

5-7 p.m.: Trick-or-Treating Around Mount Morris Park Neighborhood! The Mount Morris Park Community Improvement Association hosts its annual Halloween program, which culminates tonight. The kids will enjoy climbing up and down the stoops marked with balloons to fill those loot bags. The list of participating homes is available via www.mmpcia.org.

For the adults, there is the annual Halloween brouhaha at Ginny’s Supper Club (@ginnysupperclub) at Red Rooster. This year’s event, titled “Ghost Groove,” features Harlem resident DJ Stormin’ Norman on the 1s and 2s. Come in your best costumes for the competition. Starts at 9 p.m., bring $15 to get in and dance your butt off!
