SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J. (Nov. 7)—Motivational speaker and author Zhivargo Laing is set to inspire audiences in Florida and New York next month with two motivational evenings of excellence focusing on economic prosperity.

Laing, former minister of finance in the government of the Bahamas and now a serial entrepreneur, will address East Coast residents on “the power to be better in good times and bad” at the free seminar, sponsored by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. The events will be held at Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port Hotel (1825 Griffin Rd, Dania, Fla.) on Wednesday, Dec. 4, and at Finn Partners in New York City (301 E. 57th St., fourth floor) on Thursday, Dec. 5.

Laing will be joined by Cerita Battles, senior vice president and head of retail diverse segments at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. She will deliver opening remarks.

With material security in doubt and economic prospects obscure, Laing notes, “These times call for an awakening to an untapped, limitless power within, one which, when discovered, provides the means to be and do better in good times and bad.”

Both events, which run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., are free to the general public. However, space is limited. To register for the interactive, motivational session, call 201-861-2056.

Refreshments will be served and a Caribbean vacation stay will be raffled to a lucky winner.

Laing is chief executive officer of the Laing Consulting and Research Group, which offers business consulting, market research, training and public relations services. A graduate of economics and finance from the University of Western Ontario, this businessman, author and professional motivational speaker lives with his wife and four children in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Laing spent most of his life working for his community and country as a diplomat, parliamentarian and community leader. He has given hundreds of public speeches. He has been interviewed extensively by the media, has hosted his own talk shows, written weekly columns and appeared as a guest on many radio and television shows.

His speeches focus on leadership, economics and finance, business development, public policy and politics, and personal development.
