Despite all the rumors surrounding their marriage, Beyonce and Jay Z are still the most powerful couple in the entertainment industry, with their collaborative “On the Run” tour. Sales have been out of this world during their 19-show concert series, grossing more than $100 million in ticket sales.

Dwyane Wayne and Gabrielle Union announced their “save the date” for their wedding with a handcrafted video. The video gives guests a look at the Miami Heat player’s proposal to the “Being Mary Jane” star, which includes the help he got from his sons and nephew. The happy couple will be united in marriage Aug. 30 in Miami at night. Sources say it will be a social media–free event.

According to sources, there were two main reasons for the break-up of Michael Strahan and Nicole Murphy’s engagement. The first one is she wouldn’t sign the prenuptial agreement. The second one is Strahan allegedly has another girlfriend, and Murphy confirmed all of this Aug. 2, the night before the former New York Giant was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Her announcement came as a shock to Strahan. His friends feel that it was deliberate and meant to diminish the greatest moment of his career. Meanwhile, sources say she may already have moved on to another romantic interest.

Strength of Nature Global LLC, the leading innovator in hair care for women of color, has announced television personality and style maven Angela Simmons as brand ambassador for their Beautiful Textures line, which caters to the needs of women of color with natural hair.

“I couldn’t be happier to represent Beautiful Textures as brand ambassador,” says Simmons. “I am a true fan of the Beautiful Textures texture manageability system.”

Beautiful Textures kicked off its collaboration with Simmons by casting her as a cohost of the popular post-BET Awards web series “The Morning After: The Fashion Round-Up.”

Variety is reporting that Sherri Shepherd used one of her final episodes as a cohost of “The View” to announce what she’s doing next: going to Broadway to star as the Wicked Stepmother in the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical version of “Cinderella.” Shepherd announced the news on the Aug. 5 episode of the ABC morning show. She’ll appear in “Cinderella” opposite KeKe Palmer, who joins the cast in the title role.
