Family, clergy and community demand an investigation regarding the cancellation of a serious operation on Chris Robert Scott, who was admitted on Jan. 24 to the Veterans Hospital in Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn.

Scott, a veteran, was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which is spreading throughout his body. The dates for his operation were canceled and there is no confirmed operation date. The family has been informed by the chief surgeon of orthopedics that the sterilization pressure machine for the operation continues to leave operating equipment wet instead of dry. The water on the equipment may be contaminated, and the instruments cannot be used on the patient in order to avoid putting the patient’s health in danger.

In the meanwhile, Scott’s condition is worsening, as the cancer continues to spread.
