Project Child Support announced the opening of its satellite offices in Newark, N.J., and New York City to assist custodial and noncustodial parents. Both locations were opened to enable parents to easily commute to meet with on-staff advocates and attorneys. The new offices are located at:

  • 100 Church St., eighth floor, Suite 834 in Manhattan
  • 1 Gateway Center, Suite 2600, Unit 23 in Newark, N.J.

The initiative was spearheaded by Newark native Kai Patterson, who has been successful at co-creating “technology to assist the Amber Alert initiative and developing technology for other tracking systems like GPS for the federal government.” Statistics show that over $100 billion in unpaid child support is owed to custodial parents in the United States. Taxpayers, through government programs, pay for approximately 50 percent of all unpaid child support.
