Tony Has a Pop-Up Shop

The 68th annual Tony Awards has gone ultra, uber modern with its first theme-related pop-up shop, conveniently located at the trendy and “royal blue cool” Paramount Bar and Grill, located at 235 W. 46th St.

This was the press holding area for the Tony “live” announcements last week, and the seasoned journalists shopped like big kids in a cooler, bigger “everything Tony” candy shop.

The selection has something for every theater-loving person you can imagine, and the quality is high-end, with no cheap kitsch in view.

The prices reflect a wide budget range, and as is the case with most pop-up shops, this is limited, ending the day of the Tony Awards.

My favorites are the well-constructed, heavy keychains. One version offers a cleverly hidden compact that fits so discretely inside the palm! It’s a perfect gift for the divas who will always wants to be ready for the bright lights of Broadway.

The Tony Pop-Up Shop is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until June 8.

The Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on CBS on June 8, 8-11 p.m.
