With the official start of summer right around the corner and temperatures already rivaling the dog days in August, there are a few cool reprieves for the mouth. Good thing Fairway Market (@FairwayMarket) partnered with High Road Craft Ice Cream (@HighRoadCraft) to create four signature flavors for your mouth.

The nexus of this food marriage began when Fairway Director of Trade and Product Development Lori Levy invited High Road creator and chef Keith Schroeder to stroll through the aisles, adding whatever items inspired him to his cart. Without knowing the Fairway brand, the Atlanta native picked quintessential Fairway items like coffee and olive oil with which to make two of the four signature flavors, including Frutti di Bosco (mixed berries), Stracciatella (vanilla chocolate chip), Fig Saba (grape must) and Fairway to Heaven Coffee craft ice creams and Extra Virgin Olive Oil gelato.

At a recent press event, guests were treated to a carnivale of dishes and drinks featuring High Road’s ice creams, like a punch with lemon-lime soda and a Cuba Libre float, both with Vanilla Fleur de Sel ice cream. Resident Fairway chef Mitchell London prepared delicious apple tarts with caramelized buttery bottoms topped with Fig Saba.

These four Fairway flavors are now available in-store for $5.99 per pint. They are just the tip of the icecream-berg. In addition to their own flavors, High Road plans on releasing more Fairway flavors using exotic ingredients like saffron. Your mouth is thanking you already!
