Peace is a lifestyle conference to discuss neighborhood violence

Several community anti-violence groups are participating in the first annual Peace is a Lifestyle Conference on Saturday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fordham University’s Lincoln Center Campus Pope Auditorium in Manhattan. The event is being hosted by Fordham University GSS Continuing Education, BK Nation and Life Camp.
The one-day conference will discuss issues including gun violence, hate crimes, bullying and violence against women and girls—their causes and effects. Solutions and what steps can be taken going forward will also be discussed. Kevin Powell will serve as the keynote speaker. The event is free and open to the public.
