International Women’s Day celebration with Radical Women

In honor of International Women’s Day (March 8) the group, Radical Women, is hosting an event featuring women activists from across the globe. The event, Women Freedom Fighters Defending Our Communities Globally, will be on March 15 during Women’s History Month.
Radical Women is an organization focused on fighting racism, sexism and other social ills through the lens of socialist feminism, according to their website.
The program will have speakers and be preceded by a buffet dinner in Harlem.
Speakers include Lisa V. Davis from the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice; Angie Galindo and Mariana Merlos from YoSoy132 Nueva York; Emily Woo Yamasaki from the Radical Women’s Campaign to Defend Public Education in Harlem and a representative from Al-Awda NY, a coalition for The Palestine Right to Return.
The buffet dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and has a suggested donation of $10. The program will begin at 7 p.m. and has a suggested donation of $3. The event will take place at Freedom Hall in Harlem, at 113 W. 128th St. between Lenox Avenue (Malcolm X Boulevard) and 7th Avenue.
