Time to get those oxfords, retro Jordans, chukkas and sandals out of the closet and walk the streets. It’s the third annual Food & Drink Boulevard, brought to you by Experience: Harlem (@xperienceharlem) and the Frederick Douglass Boulevard Alliance.

It all happens on Thursday, May 8 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Participating restaurants and eateries from 111th street to 123rd street will offer food and drink specials to wandering pilgrims. Afterward, a dance party usually breaks out in the streets and you find yourself getting down to a funky tune.

There are over a dozen veterans and newcomers of Harlem’s Restaurant Row participating, including the Park 112, Vinateria, Melba’s, Jado Sushi, Savann, Silvana and Levain Bakery. For only $10 at the door or two-for-one in advance, you can sample some of what these places and others have to offer. Because a portion of the proceeds benefits the Global Language Project, you will also be doing some good.

There is no excuse. Grab a friend or some permutation of twos and step out in Harlem for a fun, affordable and delicious evening. Go to www.fdb.eventbrite.com for more details and to order tickets.
