Another year, another big serve! The Harlem Junior Tennis and Education Program (HJTEP) will celebrate 42 years of extraordinary service and dedication to its program participants on Monday, May 5 with the start of a yearlong commemoration celebration dinner at Guastavino’s (409 E. 59th St.).

This commemoration will bring together tennis champions, celebrities and gracious donors who have supported HJTEP’s community services. Special guests will include Nastia Liukin, Wendy Hilliard, David Dinkins and Patrick McEnroe, as well as tennis stars Gigi Fernandez and Rennae Stubbs. Al Roker of the “Today” show will host. Honorees include James Blake, Earl “The Pearl” Monroe and Cinta Del Monaco Kemp.

Guests will enjoy dinner, dancing and a premium auction with items such as autographed player memorabilia, U.S. Open President’s Box tickets, fine dining at local restaurants, Grand Slam packages, resort and spa packages, and much more.

“We are thrilled about the upcoming celebration of our 42 successful years in service that have helped pave the road to success for children in Harlem through tennis and education programs,” said HJTEP Executive Director Katrina Adams. “Our fundraiser is exceptional in the way that it unites everyone who is in support of the Harlem Junior Tennis and Education Program, from the participants, the charitable donors and tennis legends. We look forward to many more years of service to come.”
