Breast cancer walk in Prospect Park. Nosayaba Odesanya

All over the city Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, thousands of people wrapped up against the cold to take part in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams was joined by marchers and his Team One Brooklyn volunteers at the walk in Prospect Park, Park Slope. Wearing pink all over, families, individuals, church members and members of community organizations displayed the names of survivors and those who have passed on as they walk through the beautiful park, to honor breast cancer survivors, bring awareness and raise funds for research and care.

Feathers and frills, tutus and T-shirts brought attention creatively during this Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
