For winter 2016-2017, Black Crows showed a colorful lineup of outerwear alongside their 10th collection of skis. When you look back at their first ski collection and compare it to the ski products they make today, their tremendous growth in the industry is evident. Back then they didn’t have a clothing range, just skis. Their goal then was to create unique skis that could do it all. They have continued to ski, search and innovate in their own way.
They have dedicated 10 years to the creation of their products for skiing and the ski culture. Since their inception, Black Crows’ initial intention to unite reliability and efficiency has not changed. Year after year, they have followed the principal of creating objects distinct to all terrain types and snow conditions.
Their 10th collection is faithful to the company’s intention across the entire ski range. They have maintained consistency in their ski poles, accessories and new textile collections. For freedom beneath your feet, look for technically engineered designs and lots of bold colors and patterns. The range is classified into two categories, single and bi-directional, according to style and shape. There’s the single beak with front rocker and the double beak with double rocker that will take you through rough, big mountains and all-terrain. For women, there is a birdie range and a ski-touring freebird range.
Six new ski style patterns were introduced. Nocta 2, the pow banana, is an emblematic orange power machine that is now a full reverse camber ski. It’s very lightweight and lighter than its predecessor, the Nocta Air. The Captis and Captis Birdie are double-rockered all-terrain skis that find the ideal balance between pivotability and carving. The Black Crows Classic has been modernized, and it has a new single break and a half shape (front locker with a light early rise tail). Orb Freebird is a new shade of yellow. Vastus Freebird is for obsessive gram counters, and Animal Freebird is fat but light. It’s designed for modern free riding and for big climbs and deep powder.
