Allison Fisher Scholarship

Deadline: 2/12/16

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,500

Provided by the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the Allison Fisher Scholarship is available to African-American students attending an accredited four-year university.

You must be majoring in journalism or a communications-related field, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and participate in community service activities to be eligible for this award.

You must also be a member of NABJ to qualify.

Carole Simpson Scholarship

Deadline: 2/12/16

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,500

Provided by the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), the Carole Simpson Scholarship is available to students attending an accredited four-year university.

You must be majoring in journalism or a communications – related discipline with a concentration in broadcast with the career aspirations to work in television news, and have a minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Additionally, you must be a member of NABJ before the award is granted to qualify.

NABJ Scholarship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,500

Visual Task Force Scholarship

Available to: College Freshmen through Graduate Students, Year 5

Award Amount: $2,500

The Visual Task Force Scholarship is available to African-American undergraduate and graduate students attending an accredited four-year university.

You must be majoring in journalism with a concentration in visual journalism and have a minimum 2.75 GPA to be eligible for this award.

Additionally, you must be a member of NABJ before the grant is awarded.

Alliance of Black Culinarians Scholarship

Deadline: 2/15/16

Available to: Graduating High School Seniors through College Freshmen

Award Amount: $2,500

The Alliance of Black Culinarians Scholarship is available to seniors graduating from the Clark County School District.

You must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need to be eligible for this award.

Preference will be given to minority students and those interested in a career in the culinary arts.
