New Voices Nation, a project of T.R.Y.B.E. Force, with contributors from Star Academy and the Juvenile Justice League, opens a restaurant for the homeless, La Nourriture de Fantaisie, on Feb. 20 at 5 p.m. at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Harlem.
Organizations that serve the homeless and area shelters will receive tickets for their clients, and seating begins at 5 p.m.
All participants must have a ticket to be served. Sponsors include the Amish Market, Ace Produce, Trader Joe’s and Harlem Shambles.
The purpose of the restaurant is to provide a dynamic dining experience, nutritious restaurant-quality food and a friendly, professional experience for a community of people who might otherwise not receive exceptional treatment. The goal is to serve 100 homeless men, women and children. For more information on T.R.Y.B.E. Force, visit Facebook @trybeforce, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 877-998-7923.
