The December 12th Movement will hold an emergency community gathering at Sista’s Place, 456 Nostrand Ave., Brooklyn N.Y., Friday, July 15, 2016, at 7 p.m., focusing on the relentless and systemic racist attacks on Black people in the United States. “We will assess the local, national and international conditions that surround our persistently violent and declining quality of life,” said member Ajamu Amadi. “Choices that lay before us as we labor in struggle against police murder and violence, miseducation, inadequate health care, housing gentrification, unemployment and the national economic decline.”
Amadi added, “A crucial discussion amongst us, on a plan of action and a vision for our people’s political and economic future—self-determination, reparations and a plebiscite.”
