Winner of the Spring/Summer ’16 ANDAM Fashion Prize, Wanda Nylon presented a sophisticated spring/summer ’17 collection last week in Paris. Her 28-piece line-up was assertive and sharp. Since 2015, the label’s designer, Johanna Senyk, has extended the collection to a complete wardrobe.

She designs for a strong, independent feminine woman while referencing urban aesthetics. The collection features many materials and textures that enhance a play on light. There are opaque Alcantara coats and fluid silk dresses, reflective jackets, iridescent Swarovski crystals and see-through silk looks. Colors are vibrant. Clothes are wearable and functional.

For the first time, Wanda Nylon collaborates with Maison Desrues, a Chanel subsidiary, to create an accessories capsule collection that’s composed of metal waterfall earrings, chain necklaces and four models of bags. The eyewear collection is part of a long-term collaboration with Peter & May Walk.

Based in Paris, France, Wanda Nylon’s designer label was launched in 2012. The brand made a name for itself by elevating rainwear classics and giving rain coats a contemporary spin. They are also known for their innovative fabrics and cutting-edge designs. To create the Wanda Nylon style, the designer draws a pure outline that’s both strong and modern. The attitude is free-spirited with a sophisticated twist. These clothes allow women to feel empowered, confident and charismatic. Good show!
