Greetings! Congratulations to five-time Grammy Award winner Dionne Warwick, honored with the 2017 Marian Anderson Award, given in Philadelphia to “critically acclaimed artists who have impacted society in a positive way.” Anderson was the first Black singer to perform at the Metropolitan Opera. Warwick indicated she was “honored, flattered and overwhelmed with absolute joy.”

Netflix has signed Shonda Rhimes to a multiyear production deal, ending a 15-year relationship with ABC Studios that yielded hits from “Grey’s Anatomy” to “Scandal.” Shondaland will produce for Netflix, along with Rhimes’ current broadcast series.
