Reports indicate that Omarosa Manigault Newman is set to leave her position in the White House as Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison next month.

She will leave the White House on Jan. 20, according to press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Multiple sources on social media are reporting that the exit wasn't pretty.

White House correspondent April Ryan said on Twitter that President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff General John Kelly fired Manigault Newman and her reaction was so severe that she was escorted out of the White House.

"Sources say General Kelly did the firing and Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump," Ryan said. "The word is a General Kelly had it and got rid of her."

New York Times congressional reporter Yamiche Alcindor also said on Twitter that Manigault Newman was fired.

"I just talked to sources who tell me Omarosa was let go yesterday and that she was escorted off of the White House grounds by security," she said. "They say she is now calling friends saying that she left voluntarily because her year anniversary was coming up."

One of President Donald Trump's most visible and vocal African-American supporters, Manigault Newman was named Director of African-American Outreach during Trump's campaign. She was later put on his transition team before being his inauguration and later appointed Assistant to the President and Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison in January.

Manigault Newman first gained prominence as a contestant on the first season of Trump's reality show The Apprentice in 2004 and again in seventh season in 2008.

No plans have been announced on what she will do next.
