Greetings! It is officially National African-American History Month 2017 in appreciation to Dr. Carter G. Woodson, it’s creator and his organization, The Association for the Study of African American Life and History. Their theme for 2017 is “The Crisis in Black Education.” At the SAG Awards Denzel Washington won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in “Fences” and his co-star, Viola Davis, won for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role went to Mahershala Ali for “Moonlight.” Outstanding Performance by a Cast went to the amazing cast of “Hidden Figures,” Taraji P Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monet. Our congratulations to all.
