Rutgers University celebrates Black History Month

Rutgers University-New Brunswick and the Paul Robeson Cultural Center are celebrating Black History Month with a series of events.
The theme for this year’s Black History Month celebration is “Celebrating Our Blackness: Honoring our Past, Embracing our Future,” highlighting the richness of Black identity and experiences and learning from the past while moving forward.
Events during the celebration include the “Black Woman in Film” series, a lecture on Black physicians and scholars, a lecture series featuring Marc Lamont Hill and the HAIRitage Conference celebrating the history of Black and Afro-Latino hair.
