Brooklyn-based community organization 500 Black Men Making a Difference is hosting Assemblyman Charles Barron for his “We Are Mighty Builders” Black History Month presentation, Sunday, Feb. 26.

The event will take place at the Magnolia Tree Earth Center located at 677 Lafayette Ave., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This latest work covers African-American communities such as Seneca Village and Weeksville. Barron is taking an academic look at many Black-built cities and civilizations from Timbuktu to Tulsa. This program is a follow-up to the much acclaimed “We Fought Back.”
