The Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is organizing another year of community bike rides to encourage cycling as an active lifestyle choice and an affordable transportation option for the residents of Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Restoration’s next community bike rides will take place Saturday, March 29, and Wednesday, April 5. Bike rides will take place twice a month in March and April and twice a week from May through October.
The community bike rides are in partnership with Citi Bike, the NYC Department of Transportation and the NYC Department of Health under the Better Bike Partnership.
All bike rides are led by partners, community leaders and community organizations, including Assembly Member Walter Mosley, City Councilman Robert E. Cornegy, Interfaith Medical Center, Bike NY, Brown Girls Do Ride and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. All rides are free, and all participants will receive a one-day Citi Bike voucher.
