Spring time, Trey Songz, Maxwell and Queen Mary J. Blige!

True, that foot-high, dirt-covered pile of snow may belie what that month says, but we have a season change. It’s hard to write when you have your pinky finger lifted to the moon. You get that 24-karat feel-good vibe when the calendar date reads “first day of spring.”

The Timbs are no longer a necessity. We put them things on for cosmetic purposes only— hopefully. Now the Night Life is paired with comfortability, at least weather-wise, a precise gear coordination that oozes fresh!

Now that we can get dressed up, here are a few places to go. Let’s talk in the coming months. Today, March 30, pre-sale tickets are available, for subscribers of Pandora, to the just announced Trey Songz Tour. Trey Songz just released his seventh studio album, “Tremaine The Album,” featuring the single, “Nobody Else But You.” In celebration, he has taken over Beats Between The Sheets Radio on the streaming service Pandora, where he is one of the biggest artists, with more than 24 million station adds and 6.3 billion total spins. Check the following http://blog.pandora.com/us/presale-trey-songz/. The show is scheduled for May 19 at the PlayStation Theater (1515 Broadway.) Tickets for the public are available Friday, March 31. Friday, you can also get a bunch of tickets for forthcoming shows.

Here in the tristate we get a few shots to see one of our most popular and acclaimed acts as Maxwell embarks on a headlining arena tour. This tour comes after TIDAL exclusively debuted the Philip Andelman-directed music video for “Gods,” the latest release from Maxwell’s recent album “blackSUMMERS’night” (Columbia), shot in various Los Angeles locations.

Maxwell said, “Inspiration stemmed from having an experience of sort of seeing the spiritual parallel universe—that which can’t be seen. Art is subjective, visions evolve and I want fans to interpret the video on their own. I hope they enjoy it.”

The man has had a busy past 12 months. Last July, he released his much-anticipated “blackSUMMERS’night,” the second installment of his musical trilogy encompassing his more than 20-year career. In November, after coming off the road in support of the project, he re-upped and went on the co-headlining The King and Queen of Hearts World Tour with Mary J. Blige, which took him to arenas around the world. Maxwell kicked off 2017 by performing at the Women’s March on Washington D.C. in January, and this summer he will be performing songs off “blackSUMMERS’night,” along with hits from his long-standing career and perhaps a glimpse into some new material.
