Thanksgiving Day meals in the community

Several churches and organizations are giving away free Thanksgiving Day meals.

Free community Thanksgiving Day dinners are available from the following organizations.

Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network New York City Chapter is serving Thanksgiving dinner at the House of Justice, located at 106 W. 145th Street in Harlem on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Family of Christ Kingdom Ministries International is having its annual Thanksgiving Day dinner at the Owen Dolen Recreation Center (2551 Westchester Avenue, Bronx) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This dinner is being hosted in Partnership with the WSBID, Owen Dolen Park and Harvest Fields Community Church.

St. Andrews Episcopal Church Bronx is hosting The Community Thanksgiving Dinner will on Thursday, November 23 at 1 p.m. The church is located at 781 Castle Hill Avenue.

The Church of St. Paul The Apostle is hosting their Thanksgiving Banquet on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The church is located at 405 West 59th Street, Manhattan.

The Brooklyn Anti-Violence Coalition is hosting their 10th Annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church located at 1227 Pacifica Avenue, Brooklyn. The dinner is free. Call 917-651-9363 or 718-467-8750 for more information.

Bethany Baptist Church is hosting a Thanksgiving Day Fellowship where meals will be served on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 460 Marcus Garvey Boulevard, Brooklyn.

First Corinthian Baptist Church is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The church is located at 1912 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. in Harlem.

The Rock Churches Worldwide is hosting Thanksgiving dinner during three dinners on Thanksgiving Day. Food is being served at 2 p.m. 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The church is located at 57-02 Hoffman Drive, Queens.

The East Flushing Church of Christ is hosting a free Thanksgiving luncheon for the community on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 4580 162nd Street, Queens.

The Refuge Church of God is hosting a Thanksgiving Community Feeding on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. The church is located at 595 Quincy Street, Brooklyn.

Antioquia of the Christian and Missionary Alliance is hosting a Thanksgiving breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The church is located at 1776 Eastchester Road, Bronx.

(NEW) Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corp. is hosting Thanksgiving dinner over three days on Nov. 23 and 24 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Meals are being served at Mainchase Drop-In Center located at 120 East 32nd Street, Manhattan.

St. George Episcopal Church is hosting a Thanksgiving Luncheon on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. A church service will take place prior to the luncheon starting at 10 a.m. The church is located at 7 Rutherford Place, Manhattan.

A Thanksgiving Day dinner is being held at Tompkins Square Park on the Lower East Side from noon to 2 p.m., the park is located at 500 9th Street, Manhattan.

The Rose of Sharon Baptist Church is hosting Thanksgiving meal on Thursday, Nov. 23 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Food will be served on a first come first served basis. The church is located at 104-19 165th Street, Queens.
