The New American Chamber of Commerce hosted Real Estate Investing for Beginners at the Brooklyn Sheraton Hotel, March 24, 2018.

Attorney Brian Figeroux co-hosted the event, which was attended by hundreds, many who came to hear keynote “soul activist” Jill Flowers. Topics ranged from gathering closing costs, to picking the correct mortgage, to protecting the investment, to creating equity and starter properties. Business and lay people attended the event.

Some of the attendees were graduating students of the NACC free Paralegal Certificate Program, Spencer Guillomaitre, VP, business relationship manager of HSBC (corporate sponsor) and Networking Luncheon moderator Victoria Falk, VP, African-American International Chamber of Commerce.

The event was informative and accessible. Many experts offered free advice. Figeroux said, “Those who missed the Expo, seminars are being held at the Chamber’s location, 26 Court St., Suite 701, Downtown Brooklyn. We encourage everyone to come to this event. We always say that the answer to gentrification is home ownership. Let us get ourselves on the path to economic independence.”

He added that prospective attendees to the Real Estate & Wealth Building Seminars should know that they are repeated from April 4, 2018.
