TV personality and journalist, Gayle King, bought 250 movie tickets for Harlem students to see the highly-acclaimed movie "Black Panther."

Students from the Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing Arts are seeing the film on Wednesday at Magic Johnson Cinemas in Harlem.

“When Gayle’s team reached out and said they wanted to send students to Black Panther, I immediately thought of Wadleigh Secondary School because of its focus on excellence in the arts for middle and high school students in Harlem,” said Senator Brian Benjamin. “Gayle King could have provided these tickets to any community anywhere in the world and I am glad she chose my district for her generosity. I thank her very much for her commitment to our next generation.”

King, who is co-anchor of the morning show CBS This Morning, is one of several celebrities who have bought a large number of tickets for youth across the nation to see "Black Panther." Rapper T.I., Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott have also hosted free screenings for kids.
