Last weekend, the Duchess of Sussex made her first appearance at Wimbledon as a member of the royal family. However, as seen in photos, Duchess Meghan was seen carrying a wide-brimmed fedora, which she also wore to her pal Serena Williams’ match at Wimbledon back in 2016. The Sun newspaper reports that the reason the former actress was carrying the hat instead of wearing it is because spectators in the royal box are banned from any type of headwear, as it might obstruct other guests’ views, although hats are permitted in other parts of the stadium.
