First Central Baptist Church of Stapleton, Staten Island hosted their 40th anniversary banquet. The Rev. Dr. Demetrius Carolina handed out awards to longtime church members.
Passing through, too, was the new congressman-elect representing New York’s 11th Congressional District, Democrat Max Rose. There was also a lighting ceremony by the deacons of the church honoring members of the church who have died. The banquet honorees were Mary Edwards, Bea McKoy, Minnie North, Millie Pitchford, Bishop Rice and his family, Deacon Betty Vinson and
the Rev. Dr. Sarah Williams.
