Summer is gone and Empire City Casino is gearing up for a busy fall.

Summer is gone and Empire City Casino is gearing up for a busy fall. Making the most of its 100-acre property, it has a robust lineup of events both inside the nation’s sixth largest casino floor, and trackside, with live horse racing five nights a week. Here are just a couple of the events I plan to attend:

Sept. 16—New York versus New Jersey Food Truck Mash-Up, an annual event celebrating the best food trucks from New York and New Jersey. Taking place on the infield of the historic Yonkers Raceway track, the event allows guests access to dozens of food trucks, live music, games and more. A portion of proceeds benefit the United Way of Westchester and Putnam.

Sept. 21-Sept. 22—Greenwich 2018 Wine & Food Festival, a multiday annual event showcasing innovation in the food and beverage industries of the lower Connecticut region.

Sept. 27—Westchester Wingfest draws wing fanatics from across the tristate area to the casino to get “sauced” on all-you-can-eat chicken wings prepared by more than 25 local restaurants, including a wing-eating contest.
