Michael B. Jordan to be new face of Coach

Coach has announced that actor/producer Michael B. Jordan has been chosen as the first global face of the Coach menswear business. Jordan’s partnership with Coach will include global advertising campaigns for men’s ready-to-wear, accessories and fragrance, beginning with the spring 2019 season. Jordan said, “I’m honored to be joining the Coach family and have so much respect for Stuart Vevers’ vision.”

Blackfilm.com released its 2018 list of Top African-American Film Producers, which included prolific film and television producer Datari Turner, creator of the top-rated “Growing Up Hip Hop” franchise and producer of the critically acclaimed Sundance film, “A Boy. A Girl. A Dream” (now in theaters), is listed among a prestigious group of film producers that includes Will Packer, Broderick Johnson, Charles King, Spike Lee and Forest Whitaker.

Approximately 100 notable New Yorkers, including Yours Truly, from across sectors and industries gathered Sept. 18 at a cocktail reception for The New York Women’s Foundation, hosted by celebrity philanthropist and author Jean Shafiroff, to learn more about New York’s economic inequality, the hardships it inflicts on women and immigrants and how to become part of the women who are changing the status quo. Oct. 15 at the Plaza Hotel in New York City, The New York Women’s Foundation’s Radical Generosity Gala will celebrate the anniversary of the #MeToo Movement by honoring actress and activist Aylssa Milano and others with an award presentation by Tarana Burke, founder and leader of the #MeToo Movement, to which The New York Women’s Foundation donated $1 million.
